Boutique, award-winning wines

Tirohana Estate is a boutique vineyard producing premium handcrafted award-winning wines. The vineyard pays homage to traditional winemaking methods, celebrating and honouring all aspects of the natural world, while also interweaving exciting new world methods into its wine production.  This tribute to traditional craftsmanship as well as new methods enhance the varieties as truly unique.

 Tirohana’s 2006 Pinot Noir won the prestigious Championship Pinot Noir of New Zealand and Championship Reserve Wine of New Zealand, and a Class 1 Gold in the Romeo Bragato awards.  Other varieties have received medals and 5 star rating recommendations from Cuisine magazine.  The wines are generally only available from the winery. 

Tirohana Estate has a distinctive international client base who also welcome food and wine matching experiences at its restaurant, recently rated with the Hallmark of Excellence in the Beef & Lamb Awards.  Many visitors enjoy the evocative cellar door and atmospheric tasting area.  For those finding it difficult to leave, the estate provides Qualmark rated 5 Star accommodation overlooking the photogenic vines.
