Concentrated fruit flavours with varietal and regional style
Ashwell Vineyards are situated on the Martinborough Terrace. Owned by the Phipps family, the vineyards were first established in 1989.
Although predominantly planted in pinot noir, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and Semillon has also been planted. The company takes a low cropping approach, developing wines with concentrated fruit flavours and a varietal and regional style.
The wines have received a number of awards, including an Air New Zealand Gold Medal for pinot noir.
